LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Market has scheduled more than 30 webinars, seminars and events for its trade show January 23-27 at the World Market Center in Las Vegas.
Events include the Design Icon, First Look and Design West programs, as well as educational opportunities presented by leading organizations and industry experts.

Las Vegas Market 2022 design icon Kathryn M. Ireland is celebrated at two events. The Design Icon award recognizes the achievements of exemplary professionals in design and architecture. Ireland shares her work experiences with an impressive number of top clients, shares her design wisdom and philosophy, and explains how she built her brand on January 24 at 2pm. Then at 3:00 p.m., she will meet with market participants and sign copies. from her books Kathryn At Home: A Guide to Simple Entertaining, Inspired By… and Timeless Interiors.
The First Look lineup will showcase three trends at the macro level via exhibitors in the Las Vegas market – Together, Now Screening and Forest Preserve – through a series of three events with Julie Smith Vincenti of Nine Muses Media:
- A pre-market webinar preparing buyers to spot trending products on January 11.
- First Look, Winter 2022 – LIVE at Market is a survey of new products and trends for January 24.
- The First Look 2022 (Returning) Tour highlights market trending destinations, including the First Look Expo exhibit at the World Market Center in Las Vegas during an in-person tour on January 25.
Design West features five award-winning West Coast-based designers in a discussion of the future of design, sustainability and new opportunities on January 23, followed by a book signing and a mixer. The panelists are Chris Barrett, designer, textile designer and owner of Chris Barrett Design in Los Angeles; speaker, author and celebrity designer Lori Dennis of Los Angeles Lori Dennis LLC; Breegan Jane, host of HGTV and founder of Breegan Jane Interior Design in Los Angeles; Brian Paquette, author, retailer, designers and founder of Brian Paquette at Home and Brian Paquette Interiors in Seattle and San Francisco; and Angelo Surmelis, host of HGTV and TLC, author and owner of angelo: HOME, based in Los Angeles.
A New Expo Show Seminar Destination at the World Market Center in Las Vegas with a Culinary and Design Seminar Series including Bargain Block Duo from HGTV – Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas from NINE Design + Homes – talk about how they blend the old, new and sustainable to create personalized, memorable homes at all costs in a conversation with Rue Editorial Director Kelli Lamb in “Everyone Deserves Good Design” on January 25.
The Las Vegas market is also in partnership with seven major trade organizations and special project organizers – California Central / Nevada Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Fair Trade Federation, Home Furnishings Assn., Museum Store Assn. , The Kaleidoscope Project and Zoo, Aquarium & Garden Buyers Group – to present a series of live programming for the winter 2022 market.
The HFA will host 12 three-day seminars during the Las Vegas market on current affairs, marketing, sales management, visual merchandising, in-store services and business risks. The sessions are offered free of charge and are open to all participants in the Las Vegas market.
The Kaleidoscope Project, a Designer Showhouse that showcases diverse talent within the creative design industry, is the subject of three quick discussions moderated by Jane Dagmi, Editor-in-Chief of Designers Today, on January 25.
