According to the New York Post, actress Amber Heard has agreed to keep her volatile relationship with Johnny Depp quiet on the condition that he pay handsomely for the privilege.
A new court filing details how Heard demanded the use of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star’s Range Rover, which she was already driving at the time, and access to three luxury penthouse apartments in exchange for not file an order of protection against him. Depp would also have to agree to pay for their use.
The 2016 letter from Heard’s attorney, Samantha Spector, stressed the need to “do everything possible to keep this personal matter out of the media spotlight.” Along with the car and properties, the “Aquaman” star also asked for $100,000 in legal fees and another $25,000 for other miscellaneous costs.
Deadline reports that Heard herself is set to take the stand next week as the defense’s first witness, so she will have a chance to explain what happened with the alleged win.
Depp’s legal team is expected to wrap up his case in the first week of May, when his ex-wife will be called to give her side of the story. The lawsuit continues to make headlines, with a startling conversation between Heard and Depp just coming to light in court, further complicating the case.
The actress tried several times to have the costume discarded, to no avail.
