Parker House appoints Doug Townsend as COO

Parker House Furniture has announced the appointment of Doug Townsend as Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to President and CEO Chris Lupo, Townsend will oversee company operations, product manufacturing, supply chain management, domestic and international logistics, as well as lead warehousing initiatives and business e-commerce.

With over 25 years in the furniture industry, Townsend’s experience includes leadership roles at Samuel Lawrence Furniture, Home Meridian International and Hooker Furniture. He led HMI as co-chairman, with previous roles as chief financial officer, executive vice president of US and Asian operations, and chief operating officer of the e-commerce, club/mass and hospitality divisions. Most recently, Townsend was Director of Transformation for The Living Company, a leading supplier of furniture for student accommodation and hospitality.

Parker House Furniture co-owner Victor Zonni, who previously ran the company’s operations, moves into an advisory position with the organization and remains secretary to the board.
