Design association appoints new president and board members

HIGH POINT – The International Society of Furniture Design has appointed Liz Moore of Otto & Moore as the new chair of the ISFD 2022 Board of Directors, succeeding Tim O’Hare of Hooker. Steve Wilcox of Furnishings Design Inc. is the new chairman of the board, succeeding Moore.

In addition, the Board voted to add six new members to the Board of Directors.

Due to COVID-19, ISFD had postponed the regular addition of new board members for almost two years.

“We express our sincere appreciation to those members who have agreed to extend their terms and remain on the board during this time,” Moore said. “Thank you also to Karla Jones of the Bienenstock Furniture Library and Adria Salvatore of the AWFS who agreed to remain on the board for an additional year at the request of the ISFD Executive Committee. We are also delighted to welcome six new members to our Board of Directors.

The new ISFD board members are:

  • Catina Roscoe, freelance furniture designer and founder of Catina Unlimited Design, Inc. Roscoe is also a past president and president of ISFD.
  • Laura Niece is a senior designer at Otto & Moore and a graduate of Kendall College of Art & Design which has won several Pinnacle awards.
  • Justin Stab is the owner/director of Stabb Designs based in High Point. Stabb and Taylor West are credited with bringing the generator, complete with SCM equipment, to Congdon Yards. The generator gives start-ups and small businesses access to cutting-edge technology.
  • Jaye Anna Mize is Vice President of Creative, specializing in the Home Interiors & Design divisions, for trend forecasting agency Fashion Snoops. Mize is adept at understanding consumer behavior and how it relates to product development, lifestyle forecasting, brand development, and retail strategies.
  • Dr. Bryle Henderson Hatch is the Executive Director of the Minority Entrepreneurship Initiative (MEI) with the National Institute for Minority Economic Development.
  • Nicole Resetar is Associate of Strategy and Financial Management for Concierge LOB at Compass, Inc. Resetar combines her business and financial acumen with a focus on user experience to drive the concept’s strategic growth plans. at runtime.

The Executive Committee is led by: Executive Director John Conrad; President Liz Moore, designer for Otto & Moore; President Steve Wilcox, Director/President of Furnishings Design; Treasurer Jack Hendrix, Partner Hendrix Barney & Co, CPAs; and Vice Presidents Tom Conley, Chairman of High Point Market Authority; Chase Ryan, Chase Ryan Furniture; and Lauren West, Global Head of Color and Design, Sherwin Williams.
