AICO Walk For Hope Team Raises $43,000 for City of Hope


PICO RIVERA, Calif. – AICO (Amini Innovation Corp.) raised more than $43,000 for City of Hope by participating in the 2022 Walk for Hope on November 6.

The Walk For Hope team included AICO employees, executives, and their families and friends. Supporters also include other members of the upholstery community.

Walk For Hope draws attention to women’s cancers and the City of Hope’s ongoing research to find new treatments, drugs, therapies and cures for breast and gynecological cancers.

Martin Ploy led the team as t4eam team captain and primary fundraiser, his 13th year in the role.

“It is always so gratifying to see the AICO family come together to support this most important and meaningful event,” Ploy said. “Total funds raised nationally for 2022 will exceed $1.6 million, and since its inception in 1997, Walk For Hope has raised more than $45 million for the Women’s Cancer Program in City of Hope.”

City of Hope just opened its new Orange County facility in Irvine, Calif., and recently acquired the Cancer Centers of America, which now has more than 575 physicians and more than 1,000 scientists and researchers spread across a network sites in California, Arizona and Illinois. and Georgia.

City of Hope is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, which means its research and treatment protocols advance care nationwide.
