Nintendo has finally unveiled the latest update to Animal Crossing New Horizons. This gives us Brewster and much more. Unfortunately, what the new Roost lacks is the ability to work there like you did in New Leaf and earn exclusive furniture. These were part of the “Coffee Series” and you could only get them by working in shifts at The Roost and getting a certain number of orders.
However, this time things are different. A few coffee-related furniture was already included in the game before The Roost was added. The furniture that has been added seems to be related to the amount of coffee you can drink. Here is the list of what we have discovered so far.
Updated by Helen Ashcroft on November 29, 2021: As we drank more coffee than expected, we realized that some items that we thought were missing are actually included. We just needed more caffeine to claim them!
Brewster rewards you for additional visits after the initial opening. You can drink as many cups of coffee as you want, but only the first of each day counts toward reward goals. To reflect this, our list has been updated to include all of Brewster’s rewards as well as the number of cups of coffee you will need to drink at The Roost in order to claim them.

The cookie itself is in the shape of Brewster and if you have a kitchen set up on your island, you can bake it. You will need flour and two sugars to create these adorable treats. You can eat them to give yourself five stamina or display them in your house.

Coffee beans
- Need to drink: 10 cups of coffee
Now, this particular item was bringing you some extra bells if you had your fill of them to do a good job at The Roost. This time around you can buy ten cups of coffee and Brewster will give them to you as a thank you. They are purely decorative and rather than selling them you can purchase additional coffee beans for 1000 bells each from the Nook Shopping app.
There are five different types of coffee beans. You will receive the original mix, which has light gray packaging, but they can be customized at Reese and Cyrus’ Caravan on Harv Island. Choose from Decaf (black), Blue Mountain (blue), Kilimanjaro (green) or Moka (red).

- Need to drink: 15 cups of coffee
Prior to Brewster’s arrival, you could purchase a variety of coffee mugs through Nook Shopping in the ABD, find them as a random item for sale at Nooks Cranny, or shake them off trees. There is now a unique variation.
After 15 more visits to The Roost, Brewster will give you your very own Brewster Cup and Saucer. If you want to drink from this adorable mug at home, now you can.

- Need to drink: 20 cups of coffee
This cabinet will be unlocked once you are seated and sipped Brewster’s coffee 20 times. It cannot be customized, but you can purchase another one for 1,600 bells once unlocked.
It adapts to living room and cafe themes and can be used in your home to impress Happy Home Academy. Unfortunately, you can’t make real coffee out of it.
6
Siphon
Need to drink: 30 cups of coffee
The siphon is one of the strangest pieces of furniture in the collection. If you don’t like coffee, you might not even know that it filters out impurities from coffee.
You can get it by visiting the Roost for a coffee for a whole month, or even 30 days. The piece is purely decorative without variations and fits in with the theme of coffee.
5
Professional coffee grinder
- Need to drink: 40 cups of coffee
A true coffee connoisseur grinds their fresh beans before brewing them and that’s exactly what Brewster does at The Roost. The Classic Mill Style is an easily purchasable item available from Nook’s Cranny or the Nook Store and has a few different variations.
Brewster’s modern version, the Pro Coffee Grinder, is available as a reward for drinking 40 cups of coffee. It has no customization options and costs 3,200 bells in the Nook catalog.
4
Brewstoid
- Need to drink: 50 cups of coffee
The Brewstoid is Brewster’s most valuable reward, given only to those who enjoy coffee with it for 50 different days. You cannot purchase this item or customize it. The Brewstoid is one of a kind.
This decorative item is currently the highest reward and is bestowed on you with the friendship of Brewster. However, there are other in-game items that complement these rewards.
3
Cream And Sugar
Another classic staple of any coffee is of course your cream and sugar. Fortunately, this too was already included in New Horizons at launch and is also available in a few different variations. His appearance in the latest Animal Crossing title also looks a lot more realistic and streamlined.
Again, these are frequently offered for sale by Timmy and Tommy, as well as in the Nook Shopping catalog. Keep an eye on each day to grab all the models.
2
Espresso machines
One key item any barista needs is their trusty espresso machine and New Horizons has given it a stylish update this time around. It looks like something you will find in any local cafe or even at home with a design similar to many popular machines.
It reflects the modern world’s love for coffee, especially in homemade drinks, and fits well both in your home and in a cafe, making it a versatile option. It even has different color swatches and is available for purchase in Nook’s Cranny and the Nook Store.
You can also get a stovetop variant for those who prefer an older look. At the time of New Leaf’s release, this was the only option available. Now that’s a plus. Again this one is on sale in the various shops.
1
Cafe uniform
The cafe uniform was one of the most stylish and coolest items you could ever wear while working at The Roost. While working is no longer possible, the uniform prevails. New Horizons has completely streamlined the look, adding more color variety. They also took the time to make it much more elegant and stylish.
Now you just have to go to the Able Sisters store and you can buy one in your favorite color and wear it whenever you want. Choose from black, green, red and brown to complete the ambiance of your cafe.
